Tuesday Jul 27, 2021
DCOCD is the DC Comics events podcast, where we look at every DC event in chronological order from Crisis on Infinite Earths to... ...Event Leviathan for now.
In our massive 52nd episode, we stop and celebrate completing our first leg of DC event coverage. Mike and Paul share our personal top 3 events. We also catch up on recent feedback and hear from some of our audience with messages of congratulations and their own fave events.
It's been quite a ride, but DCOCD must rest for now, so we can ride again later.
Special thanks to Doug Zawisza for the awesome show logo.

DCOCD is the DC Comics events podcast, where we look at every DC event in chronological order from Crisis on Infinite Earths to... we're not quite sure yet.
in 2019 Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev looked at the DC Universe and said “No more Spy agencies” with EVENT LEVIATHAN being the big mystery puzzle box story to bring this about. Joined by Joshua Reed, Mike Cotton and Jessica Chen these creators take on Task Force X, Kobra, ARGUS, The DEO and Spyral and topple them into the mysterious Leviathan. But, who on earth is Leviathan? Are you Leviathan?
Paul is joined by the mysterious Mike Garvey and the ambiguous Doctor Anj to discuss, dissect and score this event.

DCOCD is the DC Comics events podcast, where we look at every DC event in chronological order from Crisis on Infinite Earths to... we're not quite sure yet.
It’s the end of 2016 and DC management thought about their big team movies and then went 'WAIT A SEC, WHAT IF WE MADE OUR TEAMS FIGHT LIKE OUR CHARACTERS IN MOVIES DO' and before you could say 'Martha' JUSTICE LEAGUE VS SUICIDE SQUAD was born.
It’s from creators Josh Williamson, Tim Seeley, Jason Fabok, Tony S Daniel, Gabriel Eltaeb and many more.
Paul and Mike are joined by Doctor DC (from the coincidentally named Doctor DC podcast) to discuss, dissect and score this event.

Waiting for Doom was created in late 2014 after 2 obsessive Doom Patrol fans realised (possibly incorrectly) that the world needed more discussion regarding their all time favourite superhero team. Specifically, from the two of them. Egos, am I right? Some helpful starting points for you:
Mike lives in Brisbane, and has had an on-again, off-again love affair with comics for 95% of his life. Paul lives in Laggan and tempers his encyclopedic knowledge of comics creators, and DC Comics in general, with biting sarcasm. Both of them fear the arrival of the Beardhunter, given their combined facial hair. Waiting For Doom would also not be possible without the support of our fellow Doom Bros: Jeames aka Rifty who provides technical support; and Doug Zawisza, who provides additional Doom Patrol history and commentary both here and on his own site, mygreatestadventure80.blogspot.com . Mike and Paul have the reluctant support of WilFreD, the sentient show Twitter account which gained self-awareness in early 2015. WilFreD lurks around this site so be careful of participating in inflammatory anti-AI sentiments lest we all suffer his wrath. |
